Go Red For Women celebrates the energy, passion and power we have as women to band together to wipe out heart disease. Too many women die each year because they are unaware of this vital statistic: One woman in three suffers in silence, and almost one woman dies every minute of this largely preventable disease.

We are honored to serve as Co-Chairs for the Colorado Springs 2010 Go Red For Women Education Day & Luncheon which will be held on October 22, 2010, at the Antler’s Hilton. We feel privileged to be working with such a dynamic group of volunteers as well as generous corporate sponsors and the medical community, all of whom are passionate about the fight against heart disease and raising awareness here in Colorado Springs.

We are inspired by our local survivors. The willingness to share their stories, educate and motivate others to take action.

And, we invite you to join us in this important movement. Together by speaking up we can bring a voice to this silent killer and help save lives.  We can listen to what our hearts are telling us, talk to our doctors, wear red and spread the word to our family, friends and community about making the right choices for optimal heart health.

We hope you will choose to Go Red with us!

“I love to volunteer because it helps me get this message out to a larger audience. While I do believe I am helping people in my cardiology office every day, with the Go Red campaign hundreds of women are able to hear the message at once. That is a very powerful thing. And, if just one woman hears my message, and I can save her life through volunteering with the American Heart Association, it makes all of the work, time and energy I put into volunteering worthwhile.”
