In recognition of Colorado Springs’ 30th Annual Heart Ball, the American Heart Association has asked the local community to nominate “30 People With Heart”, the 30 most influential and compassionate Colorado Springs residents who have been impacted by heart disease or stroke in a multitude of ways. The “30 People With Heart” have at least one connection to “heart”, including being a heart or stroke survivor, having a family history of heart disease or stroke, having a risk factor like smoking or being overweight, or leading a heart-healthy lifestyle. Our evening celebrates: our work and mission; our donors and volunteers; and — most importantly — the lives saved and improved because of everyone’s effort. The Heart Ball promises to be an engaging evening of fun and passion bringing community and philanthropic leaders together. Last year, our Heart Ball campaign raised just over $51 million nation-wide allowing us to fund over $123 millon of research and programs across the country and in your community.
