Leadership
A special message from Helena Foulkes, the National Chair of Go Red for Women
2017 Go Red For Women Co-Chairs
Sue Minero
Interim Healthcare
Sue lost her father and brother to congestive heart failure at very young ages. Her husband, David, lives with heart disease as well. As a result, she has a true passion to educate men, but especially women about heart disease as women’s symptoms can present very differently. Sue has volunteered with the American Heart Association for eight years including planning Go Red for Women and Heart Ball events. She has worked with hospice patients for over nine years and currently works for Interim Hospice & Palliative Care. She considers working with patients at end of life to be a blessing and is dedicated to this. Her two passions have now come together as cardiovascular disease has become the number one hospice diagnosis over cancer. Sue invites you to join her on this journey to touch one heart at a time.
Robin Patterson
Springs Funeral Services
Robin Patterson has a passion for building community relationships and is dedicated to helping people. This brought her to marketing for the medical industry over 17 years ago. She started out volunteering for the American Heart Association after her father had a quadruple bypass. A few years later her first granddaughter had open heart surgery when she was just 3 weeks old, and then again at 5 weeks old. She had an additional open heart surgery when she was 3 years of age. Robin’s daughter then had two more children and her fourth child was also born with a heart condition. Her granddaughters Lilly, age 10 and Lilah, age 2 are being monitored on a yearly basis to make sure their hearts are doing well. This organization is truly in her heart as she loves her grandchildren dearly and wants more than anything for them to live long and healthy lives.
Robin is the Director of Community Relations at The Springs Funeral Services where she has been for 2 ½ years.
She was the Chairperson for the SRC Senior Expo, and is co-chair for the marketing committee with the Alzheimer walk she is working on the committee for the SCWCC Accolades luncheon.
In her spare time, Robin enjoys spending time with her husband of 39 years, her 2 children and 5 grandchildren.
